- Additional information about hot tubs/ice tubs:
- A hot tub/ice tub can be installed almost anywhere, provided there is enough space and safety considerations are taken into account. The ground where the tub is placed must be level and even. A water-filled tub is heavy, so it should be installed securely and stably.
- There must be a ventilation gap of at least 4 cm between the ground and the bottom edge of the tub. This allows the tub to "breathe" from underneath, preventing potential moisture damage.
- Fill the tub with water, keeping in mind that bathers will raise the water level. Ensure there is enough water to soak and enjoy, but never heat an empty hot tub.
- For wooden tubs: Since wood is a natural material, minor leakage is a normal occurrence. After the first heating and filling, the tub will become watertight as the wood absorbs water and expands. The wood requires some time to swell and seal itself.
- Hot tubs can be used year-round. In winter, we recommend draining the tub and pipes after use to avoid damage from freezing. This helps extend the tub's lifespan and ensures you can enjoy it for many years to come.
- The most comfortable and enjoyable hot tub temperature is between 35°C and 38°C.
- For wooden tubs, it is advisable to keep water inside during hot weather, as an empty tub exposed to intense sunlight can develop cracks and leaks.
- The heating time of a hot tub depends on the season and the size of the tub. During heating, it is recommended to cover the hot tub to retain heat and warm the water faster. Occasionally stirring the water helps to distribute the heat evenly.
- After draining the hot tub, the interior can be brushed, but the use of chemical cleaning agents is not recommended. A well-maintained and weather-protected wooden tub can last 10–15 years, while tubs with a plastic liner have an even longer lifespan.
